VMware is the industry's leading enterprise virtualization software company. So it's not surprising that one of the most common questions we're asked by enterprises considering OpenStack is:
"How does OpenStack integrate with VMware vSphere and VMware NSX?"
In November 2013, Mirantis and VMware set forth plans to work together on integrating Mirantis OpenStack with vSphere and NSX. Now, as a result of teams from the two companies working hand in hand, we have built what we believe to be the easiest way to configure OpenStack for a VMware environment. And we've scheduled a webcast to do some show and tell about how the technologies work together.
Join Mirantis co-founder Boris Renski, VMware OpenStack Lead Dan Wendlandt, and Mirantis OpenStack technical consultant Nick Chase for:
Co-founder and CMO, Mirantis
Boris is responsible for helping to define Mirantis' strategic vision and executing on it in the marketplace across the OpenStack ecosystem and beyond. He has also held executive and leadership roles in a range of technology companies over the last 15 years, and serves on the Board of Directors of the OpenStack Foundation.
Director of Product Management for OpenStack, VMware
Dan leads VMware's OpenStack effort, spanning compute, network, storage and management. Previously, he was project technical lead (PTL) for the OpenStack Quantum project at Nicira, where he also held product management and software development roles, helping customers deploy the company's Network Virtualization Platform in both public and private clouds.
